Flowers are always a source of inspiration for me, the looser the better. The purples were inspired by the heathers, foxgloves and little vetch flowers around my house. These are actually created with watercolour on Canvas using special undercoating to allow the wonder of watercolour on canvas rather than paper. This means that no framing is required and gives a modern take to traditional watercolour paintings.
